While some people can cut off all animal-derived products overnight, there are a lot of people that may have to transition into this lifestyle. The steps below are my recommended plan of transitioning to the vegan diet if you have no clue where to start. This guide will be included, along with many other tips and advice in my new vegan guidebook available in January, Becoming Vegan, which you can pre-order now by clicking here!
Since it takes 21 days to create a habit, I recommend each phase consisting of 21 days total. If you feel you are ready to move on to the next phase sooner than 21 days, then feel free to do that too!
Step 1: Become Vegetarian
Duration: 21 Days
This is a great first step because it only involves removing meat from your diet. During this phase you can still consume dairy (milk, cheese, butter) and eggs.
Step 2: Remove Eggs
Duration: 21 Days
Now that your body and mind has adjusted to living without meat, use this phase to adjust it to eliminating eggs. During this phase, you can still consume dairy (milk, cheese, butter).
Step 3: Become Fully Vegan by Removing Dairy
Duration: It’s Up to You!
You did it! Now that you’ve removed meat, eggs, and dairy you are officially a vegan from this day forward! Congratulations!!!
